Here are my digiscoped photos of the Smith's Longspur from Saturday
afternoon. Its rarity aside, those with Smith's field experience away
from the breeding grounds may appreciate the thrill involved
when--after almost an hour of hard-earned glimpses and flight
calls--it teed up on a stump for several minutes!
