An update on the snowy owl in our yard.? It showed up again at 3 PM this afternoon sitting on the same stump.? From my wife's photos I originally thought it was sitting on a blackberry pile that I had recently cleared but it was using an old tree stump instead.? I spent 3 hours driving the neighborhood this morning to re-locate the bird which had moved off.? No luck until it returned in the afternoon, but I spoke to neighbors who had seen it yesterday in a yard on 34th Street.? As best I can discern it works the area between 4th, 8th, 10th streets and Point Fosdick, as well as 34th street.? From the fur and dead body parts it seems to be eating squirrels and other rodents.
