I agree that this is a great idea.


My scope is insured via a "valuable articles" add-on to my renter's insurance.? I believe mine is about $30 per year, also with no deductible.? I really don't see a reason why you should not get this type of policy if you have an expensive scope.? About 3 years ago, my previous scope was stolen from my car while parked on campus at the University of Washington.? Because I was covered through this policy, I was able to get a replacement scope with no problems.

For less than $13/year I added our fairly expensive scope to our homeowners policy.? All it took was calling our agent and having the serial number for each part of the scope.? No deductible applies and it is covered even if stolen from our car.? I don't know about renter's policies.?
