December 5
a WILSON'S WARBLER was found at MacKay creek estuary at Harbourside
Park in North Vancouver

a small flock of BOHEMIAN WAXWING were seen in New Westminster just
outside of Hume Park (west side of Kelly St. just before the park).
Check fruiting trees and hawthorn bushes in the area and in the park.



Wednesday, December 4
5 MARBLED MURRLET, 2 BRANDT'S CORMORANT, 2 LONG-TAILED DUCK and 6 BLACK
TURNSTONE, 50 SURFBIRDS were seen on the Grebe Islets, viewed from
Kloochman Park in West Vancouver

an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW was located 500 m east of 72nd st at the
Boundary Bay dike

the season's first report of a SNOWY OWL at Boundary Bay near 72nd st



Tuesday, December 3
a LAPLAND LONGSPUR was heard at Brunswick Point

2 SNOW BUNTING were seen at Tsawassen Ferry Jetty

2 SPOTTED SANDPIPER were seen at Maplewood Conservation Area in North
Vancouver



Monday, December 2
a WILLET was still present in White Rock near the pier



Sunday, December 1
the BLUE JAY was still present in north Burnaby, in the area of 215 N.
Gamma St just east of Confederation Park

20 WESTERN MEADOWLARK, 2 AMERICAN TREE SPARROW, 2 AMERICAN BITTERN, 2
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, 5 LINCOLN'S SPARROW, 3 SAVANNAH SPARROW, 6
SHORT-EARED OWL, and 5 LONG-TAILED DUCK were seen at Brunswick Point



Saturday, November 29
a EARED GREBE, an adult WESTERN GULL, 4 RED-THROATED LOON, 2 LONG-TAILED
DUCK, several RED-NECKED GREBE were seen near the White Rock pier



Tuesday, November 26
2 SWAMP SPARROW were still calling in the marshy area across from the
soccer fields at Ambleside Park in North Vancouver
