Tweets,
The crane was there at 1 p.m. today, seen from the gate that looks out onto the driving range. It was foraging on the far side of the range, almost directly across from the gate towards the trees. I watched it for half a minute, then it took off flying, landing across the road in the big field with the multitudinous number of molehills. I drove back towards town, pulled into the small parking area at the edge of the trail along that field, and watched it for another while. It wouldn?t have been all that noticeable, as the area was a little lumpy/hilly. The odd thing was that not too far away was a guy working his golden lab, but the dog didn?t bother the crane, and the crane didn?t seem to care about the company. So if there are any birders who haven?t yet gone for this beautiful crane be sure to check amongst the molehills if you don?t spot it on the driving range!
