Has anyone else has tried for the Northern Waterthrush and if so what was
the outcome?

Northern Waterthrush

Viewed for about five minutes in good light from about 15-20 feet away. My
dog scared it from the underbrush at the waters edge. Very good views with
my binoculars as the bird hopped around in the open. Shocking to see this
bird this late in the year (freezing temps).

To locate this bird, park at the Headquarters Unit of Wylie Slough (Game
Farm Rd) and walk southwest along the dike for about 500 yards. When you get
to the intersection of three roads, go ahead and to the left (due south).
The bird was about 25 yards down this trail on the west side.
