I spotted and photographed a Prairie Falcon at the end of Boe Road in north Snohomish County at the Nature Conservancy site yesterday, Dec. 17. I have posted a photograph at www.pbase.com/saxman. It is the first shot on the "Birds of Washington State" gallery. I first spotted the falcon hovering over a spot on the dike and mistook it for a Peregrine.
