The Emperor Goose continues at Bandy's Troll Haven Farm, 950 Gardiner Beach
Rd., Sequim, Jefferson County. It was in the flock of Canada Geese in the
orchard next to the lavender farm near the castle. After countless
attempts, I FINALLY was able to find and photograph the Rusty Blackbird in
the flock of over 800 blackbirds at the Maple View Farm near the
intersection of Schmuck Rd. & Washington Harbor in Sequim, Clallam County.
At Diamond Point, also in Clallam County, I was joined by Luke Redmond of
Portland, OR who was visiting relatives here in Sequim. From the seawatch
property, looking way out toward Protection Island, we found 2 Red
Phalaropes, several Ancient Murrelets as well as the more common Marbled
Murrelet, scores of Pacific and Common Loons, grebes, Common Murres,
Rhinoceros Auklet, cormorants, common gulls, various ducks, etc. Here are a
