The EMPEROR GOOSE flew by my yard this morning earlier than yesterday (about 8:40 am). It was calling as it flew by and was with the 4 lead geese in a group of 35. It is a thrill to see the bird go by almost at eye level and hear it.

When the geese swim in the lagoon the Emperor leads the group or is in among the first three or four birds.

I could not locate it in the fields after the
flyby. I believe the group landed in an out of sight from Gardiner Beach Rd.
