Almost forgot to post this ... On the way home yesterday, I briefly checked Conconully in the morning. When your best bird is American Crow, you didn't do so well. A Prairie Falcon was on the ground along down slope from Scotch Creek. Again no Sharp-tailed Grouse.
I then briefly checked for Scott Ray's Gyrfalcon along Hwy 17, but was unsuccessful. I had no problem finding 6 Lapland Longspurs. In fact, every larger flock of Horned Larks had at least one bird in it. There were 2 flocks just west of 172 & 17, maybe about 1mi and 1.8mi. The first flock has a single Snow Bunting mixed in. The third (large) flock was about 1mi north of Rd 8 NW & Rd F NW (NE of Lamoine). At least 3 Laplands and a few Snow Buntings in that flock as well.
That's it.
