We cordially invite the public to attend a special event on Feb. 23rd 2013
from 4:30 to 8:00 PM to celebrate the designation of the
Skagit/Stillaguamish River delta as a Site of Regional Importance in the
Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network. This event is part of the 8th
Annual Snow Goose Birding and Art Festival in Stanwood, WA. The festival
includes activities, vendors, speakers, and tours for all ages, so consider
spending the day. The Snow Goose Festival is free. Tickets for the evening
event are $17. Tickets included catered hors d'oevres, a complimentary
glass of beer or wine, viewing of the "Beaks and Bills" art exhibit and
other displays. The evening will include a brief award ceremony and keynote
talks by two world-renowned shorebird scientists, Dr. Charles Duncan and Dr.
Rob. Butler. More information and tickets can be purchased on the Snow
