On a trip to Nisqually this morning, I made a side trip to the LOTT Hawks
Prairie Satelite reclaimed ponds on Hogum Bay Rd NE in Lacey. While
watching an active winter mixed feeding flock of the usual suspects, I
heard and saw the BLACK PHEOBE that was reported on eBird recently and
Tweeters a few months back. I got some nice views as it was flycatching
and calling.

At Nisqually, I was treated to some good looks at an adult GREAT HORNED
OWL and two Owlets.

On the way home to Seattle, I took the scenic route via Carnation and saw
the Imm. GOLDEN EAGLE on Sikes Lake.

Add in a few sun breaks, and it was a good day of birding.
