Hi Doug -- Only ONE Common Redpoll (possibly 2) was present at the Larsen
Lake SE corner birch grove at 0830 on Saturday, seen by me and maybe a
half-dozen others, but by the time I got back to the grove ~40 minutes later,
that one was gone. I popped back in there during the course of running some
errands for a quick look (1230 & 1430) and NO redpolls. There were still
a few birders around but no one had seen any at all. That one lingering
bird at 0830 might have been in compromised health as it just kind of sat
there never really doing anything at all other than looking kind of lonely. I
expect to make a pass through there again this morning around 0830. The
last significant flock sighting was Friday morning in the fog and zero
Friday afternoon. I will keep you and Tweeters-readers posted if things perk up
again.
