Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 21. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Northeast Portland OVENBIRD continues to be seen as is the North Valley
TUFTED DUCK south of Gaston. On February 17 a live HORNED PUFFIN was on the
beach two miles south of the Siuslaw River.

The first northward flocks of SANDHILL CRANES passed over Creswell and
Eugene February 17. RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS are now increasing along the south
coast and are now moving northward. During the week they were seen in
Waldport, Grants Pass, and Eugene. On February 17 a probable ALLEN?S
HUMMINGBIRD was at Bandon. The SNOWY OWLS at the South Jetty of the Columbia
River continue to be seen.

On February 15 a DIPPER was at Steigerwald NWR near Washougal. A bright male
REDPOLL was photographed February 13 at a feeder in Aurora. A TURKEY VULTURE
was in Salem February 17. A ROSS?S GOOSE is now at Ankeny NWR. On February
19 a probable GYRFALCON was reported near Ankeny. Two PALM WARBLERS were
Eugene February 19. Up to 14 TOWNSEND?S WARBLERS are now being seen at a
Eugene feeder. On February 17 a HERMIT WARLBER was in Eugene. The next day
one was in Creswell.

On February 18 a flock of 25 REDPOLLS were near Fort Rock. Up to 300
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were in Enterprise during the week.
