Went for another Boe walk yesterday and soaked in the beauty. Besides seeing a couple of Snowy Owls, male & female Northern Harriers, a few Bald Eagles, one Northern Shrike (in brambles on Nature Conservancy property), 1000's of Snow Geese, dozens of swans, some Double-crested Cormorants, some Double-breasted hunters and their dogs, assorted shorebirds and ducks, I heard a couple of Short-eared Owls, the harriers, fairly constant goose honkings as they were flushed by the eagles and as they went out into Port Susan Bay at sunset, a little shooting (the geese stayed away from the hunters), and some wildlife sounds I couldn't identify. Most of the Snowies had taken to roosting farther north and west than on the 30th.
Nice to see the sky in a rosy glow and glad that many people were doing the Rose Bowl - a good time for a walk.
