Tweeters,

A Thick-billed Murre first found on the Port Angeles CBC on Dec 30 is still hanging around, seen again today, Jan 3. It has been seen hanging out with loose flocks of Common Murres on the inside of the harbor. It is best viewed from the vicinity of the Ediz Hook pilot station and boat launch near the entrance to the Coast Guard base, looking towards the south, usually 1/4 to 1/2 mile offshore. It moves around, sometimes near the salmon pens and sometimes in the middle of the harbor. Most sightings seem to be around mid-morning. Maybe it will stick around longer (or maybe it won't?).
