I saw at least one Thick-billed Murre, and perhaps two, this morning in the waters off the pilot station east of the tanker Militos. One had the expected non-breeding plumage, but the other seemed to be in breeding plumage (no white throat) so could possibly be a Common, though all others of that species that I saw were in non-breeding plumage. This bird had very white flanks, very dark back and head, and bill seemed short. If someone can confirm, would appreciate.
