Hi, Vincent Lucas, Ann Marie Wood and I made it to New Westminster today, a suburb of Vancouver, BC, by 9:00 a.m. Within a few minutes we were looking at a Red-flanked Blue-tail in the snow. It was very active but gave great looks. Before leaving BC we checked in on the nearby Brambling - which gave a brief view. If you think you've seen a lot of Bald Eagles in WA, there are so so many more in BC - some of which we saw on way way back to the border. Perhaps a 100 + just from the car as we drove through the Delta area. We then stopped at Bellingham and quickly found the Mockingbird on Humboldt Road within a few minutes. We finished at Sammish Flats - with a great look at the Long-eared Owl at the West 90 (thanks Ryan) plus many other Short-eared Owls and other raptors in the vicinity. A good day. Cheers and good birding. Steve
