Hi Everybody,

This is the latest post from the Routledges regarding the Citrine
Wagtail. It doesn't mean the wagtail is gone for good. They will keep
monitoring the fields and I will continue to post here as I hear from
them.

Subject: Comox Valley, B.C. Canada - CITRINE WAGTAIL - Update Info ....

Hello Fellow Bird Watchers,Ornithologists and " Twitchers "
An extensive 4 hour search today of the fields and farms around
where the CITRINE WAGTAIL was found by us, Nov;14th 2012 came up
empty. All of the grasslands, ponds, pools and marshy areas, now ice
free, were searched thoroughly and the various farms and properties
produced " O " results. The bird was NOT seen by us today, and has
NOT been seen since Wens Jan;9th 2013.
The CITRINE may have just gone off to a new ice free feeding area
during last weeks freeze up,which maybe fairly local,or gone on its
way back, via the jet stream, to Latvia in the Baltic states in Europe
(Where I believe it is the national bird) Either way we wish it well,
its been a very special moment in time for many, many people. So glad we
could Share it with so many good keen birders over these last two
months.
Any new sightings, by anyone, will be immediately posted on
BCVIBIRDS at YAHOOGROUPS.COM - Stay Tuned.- Thanks.

+++++++++++ GOOD BIRDING EVERYONE,EVERYWHERE and all the best
for 2013 ++++++++++
