The Bluetail was very active today, Friday, at about 1:30pm. Temps were in mid-30s, overcast with sun breaks. It was at Queens Park in New Westminster, BC just where it had been sighted before, by the large children's play area near the table pavilion. It was staying close to the ground, jumping to nearby stumps, low branches, and often on the ground for just moments, frustrating over a dozen photographers and over a dozen more birders. It did stop long enough for great views.
