At 11:15am, Thursday, 1/24/13, I observed 3 PINE GROSBEAKS in Discovery Park, where the North Bluff path dead ends at an observation platform (southwest of the platform is the steep trail that descends to North Beach). The grosbeaks were in the trees just beyond (north of) the platform, actively eating the buds of the trees. After about 10 minutes, they flew east.

I didn't report the grosbeaks sooner because I wasn't sure of the identification until I examined my images hours later on my computer.
