I found a swamp sparrow at the Fir Island Farm/Hayton Reserve this
afternoon. It was along the dike immediately adjacent to the parking area,
where the trail begins. At first it was seen atop a log in the wetland,
then it flew to the large blackberry clump right where the trail begins.
It was very secretive thereafter--we only observed one other short flight
through the brush.
