Tweets ? an Indigo Bunting (or possibly an INBU x Lazuli Bunting hybrid) was singing prominently late this afternoon in the grassy meadow under the power lines at the southeast corner of the SR-503 x SR 503 Spur intersection a little west of Cougar, Cowlitz county. The bird was entirely a deep metallic blue except for the lower belly, which was grayish with metallic blue speckles. It was singing, to my ear, an Indigo Bunting song.
