Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 11. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

O July 9 an INDIGO BUNTING was at Bridge Creek in Malheur NWR. A MANX
SHEARWATER and two CLARK?S GREBES were off Yachats July 5. On July 6 an
ANCIENT MURRELET was at the South Jetty of Tillamook Bay. Two PARAKEET
AUKLETS were seen July 9 close to shore near Boiler Bay. A GREAT-TAILED
GRACKLE was in Eugene July 4.

A GRAY CATBIRD has been seen all week on the North Spit of Coos Bay. A
CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD was at Saddle Mountain east of Seaside July 6.

On July 5 a BREWER?S SPARROW was seen at the Koll Wetlands in Beaverton. A
TRICOLORED BLACKBIRD was photographed July 8 at Fern Ridge Reservoir. The
next day a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER and a PECTORAL SANDPIPER were seen among
the many shorebirds at Fern Ridge.

Three SCRUB-JAYS were seen July 7 at McNary Dam on the Columbia River near
Hermiston. A GREEN HERON was along the Crooked River south of Prineville
July 7. A bright adult PALM WARBLER was seen July 6 at Big Summit Prairie in
the Ochoco Mountains southeast of Prineville. Two BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS
were seen in Bend July 5. On July 10 a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER was at
Hatfield Lake near Bend.
