Merlins, young and 'old' alike, are still filling this Echo Lake neighborhood with their calls, chases, play, and interactions with other juvenile birds, such as Stellar's Jays (a LOT last night), Northern Flickers and crows, not-to-mention the little guys like juncos, nuthatches and chickadees :-) Similar things are happening in the other Merlin neighborhoods.
Enjoy them while they are still around - "empty-nest syndrome" may set in when they disappear near the end of the month !
