In response to sightings of rare seabirds in the San Juans a boat trip is
being offered by the Western Prince (their staff made the sightings). The
trip is a 3-hour birding boat tour on Thursday, July 17th. The boat leaves
Friday Harbor at 10:30 and returns at 1:30. The cost is $85/adult and $56
for children 12 and under. This is a spur of the moment trip being offered
as a number of rare seabird have seen on the south end of Lopez and SJ
Islands. Horned Puffins, Parasitic Jaeger, Cassin Auklet are around along
with the numerous Rhinoceros Auklets, Pacific Loons and Surf Scoters. Space
