While hiking down Smarty Creek Trail off Forest Road 39 in Okanogan County
Saturday I heard a call that I couldn't ID. In a boggy area half mile down
the trail a bird was calling from the conifers on the other side of the
creek with a series of warbled notes and ending with a very thin, very
sharp and VERY VERY METALLIC TING.I recorded the call but it was drowned
out by the creek. It has been bothering me ever since. If this sounds
familiar and anyone has any suggestions of songs to listen to, please let
me know.
