Tina and I birded the Sherman Pass area most of the day today. We found 2 Boreal Chickadees, 2 Pine Grosbeaks, a Black-backed Woodpecker, and a Northern Goshawk. We couldn't find a Spruce Grouse or Three-toed Woodpecker. We had a pair of Blue-wing Teal at the south end of Curlew Lake and at the Republic STP. We heard heard a Western Screech Owl tonight in the Sanpoil valley.
