Hi all,
?
Lake Sammamish State Park was humming with bird activity even in the lazy hours?between 11 and 2 pm today when?Delia & I and a friend walked from the West parking lot to the East parking lot and back.??
?
We heard a RED-EYED VIREO singing in the woods south of the big middle parking lot.?
This was Delia and my 107th Park-Life-Bird. A singing Willow Flycatcher was first of the year for us and only?one Vaux's Swift, was our first of the year, we sure have been missing them.
?
There were Western Wood-pewees, Bullock's Orioles, Swainson's Thrush, Black-headed Grosbeak, Yellow Warblers, Warbling Vireos, Purple Finch, Cowbirds, Western Tanagers, Brown Creepers,?Robins ?and Yellowthroat contibuting to the chorus, and three Spotted Sandpipers at the mouth of the Creek.? The Heronry seems like it's in business.
?
Best wishes,? Ed Newbold ednewbold1 at yahoo.com Beacon Hill Seattle
