I spent the last four beautiful days birding Eastern Washington,
revisiting some places and checking out a few new ones. Some of the
highlights included:

Vantage: No Magnolia Warbler but did see the Black-throated Sparrow

Biscuit ridge: 2 Green-tailed Towhees and 2 Black Bears

Tom Lambs House: Many Black-chinned, Calliope, and Rufous Hummingbirds

While I was watching the feeders, one bird that appeared to be a Male
Broad-tailed Hummingbird flew in and quickly fed and left before I could
get photos. He came to the feeders twice. It was definitely not one of the
other three species that were there but I cannot be 100% sure what it was.
It had a rosy red throat cleanly defined straight across at the bottom. It
might be worth checking out, but I am not counting it.

Calispell Lake: American Redstarts, Red-eyed and Cassin's Vireo, fantastic
close views of four Bobolink

I really enjoyed Pend Orielle county and look forward to going back and
spending more time there.

Have a Great day,
