I was in Pipestone Canyon near Winthrop today and saw a bird sitting on a nest about 10 feet off the ground with a partial head showing from one angle and tail from the other. The tail seems to have white coverts but appeared larger than a junco and smaller than a robin. The nest was about a foot in diameter.
