Hello All,

This morning while leading a group of visiting guests up the Tucannon River, Columbia County to look at great habitat improvements along the Wooten Wildlife area an adult Black Swift flew low over the road in front of the rig. This was unexpected and may be a Columbia County first record. I have been in this area many times and the only swift species I have ever seen are Vaux's Swifts. So this big black swift was unexpected.It was low overcast, spitting rain and about 54 degrees F..
