Well Tweeters - we tried and heard only...the Virginia Rail at the Southwest Pond at the Fill. Unless it's a ventriloquist (like the Meadowlark we heard in Utah), it was taunting us right at the edge of the path. Sure would to have liked to see it. Very exciting to hear - what a sound! Did confirm it when I got home that it was what we did hear.

Did see a goldfinch, marsh/sedge wren, lots of baby ducks from the wooden bridge, Spotted Towhee, Pied Bill (Pie Billed?) Grebe and a few others.

Boots are needed to get anywhere near the edge of the pond.

Unfortunately, did see a young woman running w/ her dog off leash and seemed oblivious when I mentioned a leash law and the dog, (which was running behind her), so who knows if she did any picking up after it.
