After many hours of looking earlier in the month
and a couple today, I finally got a Ferruginous
Hawk around 2:00 this afternoon perched on a
telephone pole about 1/8 mile west of milepost 84
on Hwy 78 between Wilson Creek and Odessa.

Traffic over i-90 was a disaster - 90 minutes of
stop and go from Ellensburg to just before the
pass (and 93 degrees heat to boot). Maybe they
were doing work, but I never saw any - just signs
from WSDOT saying that traffic was slow and to
expect delays. Self-actualizing I guess.
