Today, Susan and I checked Skamania County for migrants. We found both TREE and VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS at Skamania Landing. The most notable migrants were the waterfowl that had already departed leaving only small scattered flocks of GREATER SCAUP on the Columbia River, a nice group of BARROW'S GOLDENEYE on Drano Lake and 18 WESTERN GREBES at Underwood. On the way home we stopped at the Backwoods Brew Pub in Carson for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by 2 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES in the field next to it and the beer, huge salads and crispy crust pizzas.
