Hi, Tweets
Today, for the second time, I heard a barred owl calling not too far away in the mid-afternoon. They don't nest in our woods, but we often have a fledgling show up sooner or later. We also had a young sharp-shinned hawk on the deck railing the other day. I came in to do the dishes and there she (I think) was a few feet away looking back at me. Haven't seen the rufous hummingbird yet, but think the Anna's are nesting.
Vulture reports soon!
Cheers, Diann
