Today while birding on the Semihamoo Spit, my fiance and I saw a male
Oldsquaw (Long-tailed duck) in breeding plumage at the mouth of Drayton
Harbor. We were standing at the dock beyond the resort looking toward the
Canada Peace Arch border. The duck wasn't too far out so we were able to
see it quite easily with binoculars.
