Tweeters, Inlanders,

Tina and I spent the weekend birding in Adams County we had a number of
notable birds in spite of the howling wind.

Saturday 3/16/13

. Snow Goose - Columbia NWR-Royal Lake. About 300. Royal Lake was
covered with waterfowl

. Violet-Green Swallow - Columbia NWR-Herman Lake

. Barrow's Goldeneye - Washtucna STP - 2 on the pond with several
COGO

. Tricolored Blackbird - Washtucna-Benge Road - about 10 in a large
flock of RWBL.

. Eurasian Wigeon - Finnell Lake - 1 in with a large flock of AMWI

Sunday 3/17/13

. Ferruginous Hawk - Sprague Lake

. Belted Kingfisher - Sprague Lake - these are surprisingly hard to
find in Adams

. Tree Swallow - Sprague Lake - about 15 being blown across the lake

. Greater Scaup - Sprague Lake - caught about 10 in flight. There
were about 2,000 LESC on the lake

. Mountain Bluebird - Wellsandt Road near Cow Lake

Enjoy!
