Hello Tweeters,
Today at 8.50 AM,LIKE ALWAYS WATCHING MY YARD BIRDS.IN THE HUGE FIR TREE
WITH the large number of cones this year A BIG FLOCK OF Red CROSS BILLS flew
in,and since I HAVE A HIGH HOUSE had good close looks.I HAVE 5 large Fir
Trees,but only one Tree got all the Cones.THIS SIGHTING LASTED TO NINE
THIRTY.it BEEN FEW YEARS BACK WHEN WE HAD THIS SPECIES IN OUR YARD ,WE LIVE
CLOSE TO THE Town & COUNTRY GOLF Course who there been seeing a lot,also who
the Pileated Woodpeckers breeding.
I also have 12 Townsend's Warblers from 24 birds who visit our yard every
year,last year there came 11 of November 2012.
Also for the first time FLOCK OF 22 yellow R Warblers on 12-30-2012. THERE
ARE 12 BIRDS STILL LEFT NOW FEEDING ON SUET.WE HAD THIS SPECIES EVERY
YEAR,BUT ONLY 1 OR 2 BIRDS,WHAT WHERE HARD TO SEE SINCE WE HAVE 2 HUGE BIRCH
TREES WHAT SEEMS THERE ALWAYS WAS SITTING,
I noticed today that there are 4 birds in full breeding plumage
