Hey tweets, the Say's Phoebe was still present at the Fill today. I
found it foraging among the buildings and fences of Corporation Yard
1, at the corner of Franklin Lane and Clark Road. The time was about
6:30 p.m., when all the workers had gone home and the place was very
quiet. It was lovely seeing this quietly colored, quiet bird in the
soft light of the evening sun.

Also present today: a male Cinnamon Teal in breeding plumage, floating
past the mansions south of Yesler Cove; hordes of Violet-green
Swallows foraging everywhere over lake and field but also sometimes
taking a break to perch in the small trees lining Southwest Pond; and
a Virginia Rail who came out into the open at the southeast corner of
Main Pond, saw me sitting there, and realized it urgently needed to
conduct its business elsewhere.

Altogether, I've seen 98 species at the Fill this year. - Connie,
Seattle
