While birding Marymoor Park on Saturday afternoon, my son spotted an osprey perched in a tree along the river's edge, just outside the gate leading to the dog park. I was certainly thrilled to see this as it was a FOY, at least for my family. About 15 minutes later, while we stood at the platform at the lake, we watched a bald eagle and what I assume was the same osprey have a brief encounter, circling in the sky. I'm sure the eagle wasn't as happy as I was to see the osprey's arrival.
