Tweeters,

I have always been impressed with how some bird species will adapt to ambient sound. Marsh Wrens near freeways seem to almost double the loudness of their song. However, I was really startled when in slow traffic on 405, between Bellevue and I-90, in sunny weather a few days ago and my car windows down, I could clearly hear a White-crowned sparrow singing. No kidding! That was impressive.
