Hi Tweets,

I finally got a chance to get to Magnuson Park to try to locate the Sage
Thrasher this afternoon. When I got there, two birders (Marv and Judy) had
already located the bird at the usual place across from the Fins artwork
near the shore underneath some brushes. They said just a bit earlier a
Merlin came and landed nearby. I hope the Thrasher is Merlin wise.

It came out periodically, walking, running and hopping around to catch
insects on the ground. It did not seem to be bothered by us or the cameras.
It came within 30 ft of us. It was still there when I left. Some photos are
at

Nearby the highlights are: 1 CA Quail (male) was vocalizing, 30 Canada
Goose Goslings were attended by a group of about 40 adults, 10+
Yellow-rumped Warblers, 1 Orange-crowned Warbler, 1 Northern Shoveler
(male), 2 Barn Swallows and a few Savanna Sparrows.

Good birding,

Qinglin
