Went to the park early today to try again for the Sage Thrasher, but no
luck. As a consolation, however, there was a very vocal and crisply colored
Yellow-headed Blackbird, flying around the cottonwood treetops at the N end
of the park.

Other birds of interest this morning included a Eurasian Collared-Dove, in
pretty much the same area as the YHBL; a Sora that flew into the marsh
ponds; a Least Sandpiper that flew out of the Crescent Pond; and, an active
Hammond's Flycatcher at the base of Promontory Point.
