Hey tweets, no time to write anything clever - the sky is turning pink and I've got to get out there!!! But I did want to alert you to some wonderful birds at the Fill yesterday: a Solitary Sandpiper on Boy Scout Pond; a Yellow-headed Blackbird that flew over Main Pond and landed somewhere around Shoveler's Pond; a Western Tanager in the alder grove kitty-corner from the kiosk; and a SNOW GOOSE of all things, grazing on the field near the helipad. What a shock that was!

If you're interested in coming down to try to find any of these birds today, please note it is the second day of the King County Master Garderners' plant sale. All the CUH parking lots are closed. There is free parking on the site - follow the signs. The parking is for plant buyers, though. I myself am planning on parking in the Dime Lot (E-5), which is posted for construction workers but, like all university parking lots, is free on Sundays. - Connie, Seattle
