Hi Tweets,

In Coupeville today, so I checked out a few of the local spots to see what was moving through.

Crockett Lake - good numbers of shorebirds in the couple hundred range
Western and Least Sandpipers, a smaller amount of Dunlin, Long-billed Dowtichers were all on the south end. On the north was a mixed flock of 4 Greater and 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS.

Hastie Lake access: when I pulled up the Sounf in front of me was bear, but with some patience pulled out a pair of Red-throated Loons moving into alternate plumage and a few Pigeon Guillemots. The big surprise was 24 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS all in one big jumble just north of the access. By far the largest group I've ever seen and the big bright red bills certainly make counting a lot easier.

SWantown - water was high and the lake held just a few ducks.

Ebey Ferry Landing - big flock of 24 Rhinocerous Auklets just off the point. Easier to see from the State Park from above.

Good Birding,
