Hi Birders:

I went to Lake Samm SP today and met Ken Grant. We spent about 3 hours
birding and among the notables were 2 Green Herons, FOY for me. I spent
many hours searching favorite GRHE haunts in Issaquah since the first of the
year. Matt was right in his question about this species, notable absent
this winter. I also briefly saw 2 Black Swift flying high above a number of
Vaux's Swifts, and many swallows for a good comparison.

Just as Michael Hobbs pointed out, the same held true at the south end of
the lake with a large outfall of Wilsons Warblers and Warbling Vireos.
There was a good variety of warblers including Nashville, Orange-crowned and
Yellow-rumped.

Also of note, yesterday, while playing golf at Mt. Si, I saw a female
Mountain Bluebird flycatching and seemingly cavorting with a couple of
robins. Is this a late date for MOBL here?
