Subject: [Tweeters] Possible breeding Vashon Island Varied Thrush

Harsi and Ezra Parker noticed a female Varied Thrush gathering nesting
material on March 29. They observed adults gathering food beginning April
26th and continuing through last weekend. The combination of the sighting
of nest material gathering combined with food collection seems to be a
pretty strong indication that they still breed on the Island.

A nest was found back in the 1980's and we have had birds here late in some
years so that perhaps in some years breeding occurs on the Island.
