Spent the morning at the Stillwater unit of the Snoqualmie Natural Area. Many new migrants have been arriving here as at other locations. The day started off with a Barred Owl hooting from near the highway's edge.
Other nice birds included:
Bullock's Oriole - several, mostly along the valley trail, near the public parking area
Black-headed Grosbeak - clearly the bird of the day--they were everywhere, in loud song.

Warbling Vireo and Yellow Warbler were abundant as were both Swainson's and Hermit Thrush. A couple of Western Wood-Pewee were FOY for me.
At the river, the expected Bank Swallows were flying into and out of their holes, but Northern Rough-winged Swallows were much more numerous. A Belted Kingfisher pair has a nest in the middle of the Bank Swallow colony. A Spotted Sandpiper was calling from one of the log snags in the river.
