Hey Tweets,
I woke up this morning in my backyard and head what sounded to me like
Swainson's Thrushes calling in the brush to my south. Their call being the
distinct round whistle followed by a sort of ratchety call I remember
hearing a lot last summer. I pay very close attention to what happens in my
backyard woods and have heard no thrushes at all all year long. This sudden
arrival of this new voice gives me the feeling that its a couple Swainson's
that have just arrived and are not singing yet. I got a visual on one of
them and heard two calling back and forth. I'm pretty sure it was one of
the magical birds who sing like stars falling to the earth. Anyone else
seen or heard any?
Sincerely,
Wyatt Hersey
